Casa Amaya Pupuseria & Taqueria | Our Story

Salvadoran cooking in Boerne
We're a family-owned place on Waterview Parkway in Boerne. We cook Salvadoran food and other Central American dishes, and we make it when you order it.
The pupusas
We make pupusas when you order them, and they aren't fried. Get the pork ones with rice, beans and cabbage on the side.

Beyond El Salvador
The menu goes past one country. Garnachas sit right next to the pupusas, along with other Central American dishes.

And yes, we make pizza
The crust is homemade, and you can get it with fresh mozzarella and basil. If you want something different, try the picadillo pizza with red sauce and jalapeños.

Breakfast and coffee
Come for the traditional Salvadoran breakfast with fried plantains, eggs, beans, queso and crema, or a chorizo breakfast taco on a homemade flour tortilla. Sit inside or out on the covered patio with a cup of coffee.

Who's at the door
The owner and his wife are usually there to greet you. If it's your first time, our manager will walk you through the menu, and the kitchen is open so you can see us work.
